Lieutenant Colonel Jeff M. Koziczkowski

Lieutenant Colonel Koziczkowski is the commander for the 132d Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Group, 132d Wing, Iowa Air National Guard, Des Moines, Iowa. He has command authority over the Airmen assigned to the 132d Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Group who provide Intelligence and targeting analysis to the warfighter.


Lt Col Koziczkowski entered active duty Air Force in 1991 and began his career as an enlisted Aerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic stationed at Mountain Home AFB, ID, providing support to the 389th Fighter Squadron flying F-16s. In 1993 Lt Col Koziczkowski separated from active duty via the Palace Chase program and joined the Wisconsin Air National Guard as an AGE mechanic for the 115th Fighter Wing supporting their newly acquired F-16s. In 1996 he began his undergraduate degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. That same year he began working with the Wisconsin National Guard Drug Control Program working drug demand reduction with the youth of Wisconsin. In 1997 Lt Col Koziczkowski transitioned into the Intelligence career field and attended the Intelligence Operations course at Goodfellow AFB in 1998. Immediately upon returning from training, Lt Col Koziczkowski was selected to work as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst for the WI Drug Control Program, stationed at the WI Department of Justice. This began a duty assignment that spanned 6 years and promotions from Staff Sergeant up to Master Sergeant. In 2005, Lt Col Koziczkowski was selected for commissioning in the 115th Operations Support Squadron as an Intelligence Officer and graduated from the Academy of Military Sciences. In 2008 Lt Col Koziczkowski transferred to the 214th Reconnaissance Squadron in the Arizona Air National Guard flying the MQ-1 Predator, and was hired full time in 2009. In 2014 he transferred to the Iowa Air National Guard as the Senior Intelligence Officer for the 132d Operations Group, having recently transitioning to the MQ-9 Reaper mission. In 2020 Lt Col Koziczkowski was assigned to HQ USAFE-AFAFRICA, A5/8/9 Division working on the Agile Combat Employment team, the USAFE Commander’s #1 Key Initiative. Lt Col Koziczkowski and the ACE Team were selected as the USAFE 5/8/9 Team of the Year. Following his work on the ACE Team, Lt Col Koziczkowski took command of the 233d Intelligence Squadron in Des Moines, Iowa June of 2021. Throughout his career Lt Col Koziczkowski has served as a commander, senior intelligence officer, and the chief in multiple sections in Intelligence to include analysis, systems, scheduling, training, and standards and evaluations. As a former instructor and evaluator he has over 6500 combined hours as a Mission Intelligence Coordinator and Intelligence Operations Supervisor during combat missions. He has served on contingency deployments to King Abdulaziz Air Base, Saudi Arabia, Hato, Curaçao, Netherland Antilles, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, and Balad Air Base, Iraq. Lt Col Koziczkowski and his wife Lisa have 6 children, Erik, Saul, Tayler, Ethan, Breanna, and Nathaniel.
