Colonel Brouse is currently assigned to the 132nd Mission Support Group, Iowa Air National Guard, Des Moines, Iowa where she serves as the Commander.

Colonel Brouse enlisted with the 132d Fighter Wing, in Des Moines on 31 May 1987 as a Personnel Specialist. Upon returning from Basic Training and technical training, she was selected as a full time employee at the Human Resources Office at Camp Dodge. In 1995 she was selected for a commission and attended the Academy of Military Science and graduated on 16 November 1995. In November 2000, Colonel Brouse was selected as the Director of Personnel/Mission Support Flight Commander at the 132nd Fighter Wing. She remained in that position until March 2008, when she was selected as the Military Personnel Management Officer at Camp Dodge. During this time, she also served as a member of the Joint Staff, in the J1 Section, and had the additional duty of course manager of the Air National Guard Commander’s Development Course. On 22 February 2011, she moved back out the 132nd Fighter Wing as the Commander of the 132nd Logistics Readiness Squadron and remained there until being promoted into her current position of 132nd Mission Support Group Commander on 30 June 2014.
