The 132d Wing (132WG), Des Moines, Iowa celebrated the opening of its new off-base Recruiting Operation Center during a ribbon cutting ceremony held at the Recruiting Operation Center's new location on Tuesday, March 24, 2015.

The 132WG Recruiting Operation Center is located at 7205 Vista Drive Suite 100, West Des Moines, Iowa 50266; it is the first Air National Guard off-base recruiting office in the state of Iowa.

Many members of the Iowa Air and Army National Guard and their families were present, and included The Adjutant General of the Iowa National Guard, Maj. Gen. Timothy Orr, and the 132WG Commander, Col. Kevin Heer, who both took a moment to speak.  They recognized the accomplishments of the 132d Recruiting Office and the importance their role has to play in bringing new airmen into the unit.

Maj. Gen. Orr gave the Oath of Enlistment to the three newest members of the 132WG, which marked the first airmen sworn in at the off-base Recruiting Operation Center.  He then concluded the ceremony by cutting the ribbon with Col. Heer and leaders of the Iowa National Guard, leaders of the 132WG and members of the 132WG Force Support Squadron.  This gesture officially recognized the opening of the new location and another chapter in 132d history.
